Practical projects

Kritzelpate (scribble mentor) initiative

Since 2016, scribble mentors have been helping children to gain basic experience with pen and paper. The aim is to give children across Germany the chance to learn to write quickly and legibly without tiring - an important foundation for later learning success. Volunteer as a scribble mentor and help children with their first experiences in the world of writing.

Companies for education: become a scribble mentor

You can also actively support children with your company as part of corporate social responsibility. You and your company can become a Kritzelpate today and help shape a brighter future for the next generation.

Applied research

Study on analog, digital and hybrid approaches to learning to write

Today, parents and teachers have a wide range of tools at their disposal to help children learn to write; from pen and paper to tablets and learning apps. In our research project we are investigating how children can be supported in the best possible way. Results are expected in spring of 2025.
