Herzo.TV: Scribble Mentors at Puma generate fun with pen and paper.
The local television channel from Herzogenaurach reports on the Scribble Mentors project: in May, sporting goods manufacturer PUMA invited pre-school children from various kindergartens in the area to visit.
Several employees and German international footballer Kathrin Hendrich took time to join the children in experimenting with pen and paper. The Schreibmotorik Institut provided the practice materials, the background behind which was briefly summarised by Dr. Christian Marquardt, scientific advisor for the Schreibmotorik Institut, at the beginning.
Colouring scrunched up pieces of paper, scribbling, crosshatching, drawing lines – using simple, fun exercises, the children learned almost by accident to improve their hand’s motor skills: important preparation for when later learning to write at school. Institute Director Dr. Marianela Diaz Meyer emphasised this in her interview.
